Lisbon is waiting for you

What to expect

The AEFCM International Team is constituted by motivated students who are willing to provide you everything you need to have an unforgetable stay in Lisbon. Whether you are enrolled in the SCOPE or SCORE programs, you can expect our LEO and LORE to be readily available to support you in everything you might need during your exchange.

For every month we are receiving incoming students, the LEO and the LORE recruit a team of Contact Persons (volunteering local students) to contribute in the organization of the Exchanges. Together, we strive to provide you the following:

  • Assistance during your preparation period, before the Exchange
  • Pickup from the airport to your accomodation
  • Personal guidance in the first day of your clerkship
  • Full Local Social Program
The Accomodation. During your stay, the type of accomodation you are provided with can be one of the following: university student residence, student housing or a hostel. More often (and specially during Summer), students are accomodated in an university student residence. Student housing is generally resorted when it’s not possible to accomodate all the incoming students in the residence and it consists in personal rooms from local students who are not in Lisbon while you are here and who pleasantly made their rooms available for you. Only very rarely incoming students are accomodated in hostels, being this an option when the forementioned alternatives are not available.

The Social Program. When in Lisbon, don’t expect everyday to be just like the day before. With the help of the Contact Persons, a full Local Social Program is generally offered. This Program is enterily optional – we strive to organize activities in everyday of your exchange and you are let to decide in which activities you want to participate. Besides specific costs that may be associated with an activity (e.g. tickets to some attraction), there is no additional cost to this and all the incomings are welcome at any time. Our goal is to offer activities which are interesting, captivating and that would meet your expectations so you can expect the Contact Persons to be flexible and adapt the Program to include any activity you would like us to organize. Besides the Local Social Program, you can also expect a National Social Program (NSP) to be offered by ANEM (Portugal NMO). The NSP usually takes place during in other cities (e.g. Porto), during the weekends, but also in Lisbon – this way, all incoming students in Portugal can meet each other.
